Bears Assault Record Book at Albany Classic

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Coast Guard women's track & field team competed at the University of Albany Spring Classic this past weekend.

Freshman Kaitlyn Mooney was the lone winner on the day for the Bears as she crossed the line in 4:39.82 in the 1500 for the top spot. Her time is the third fastest time in program history and is currently 39th in Division III.

Sophomore Adora Lawrence led four teammates across the line in the top-15 as was second in a time of 59.30. Her time is a new personal best and moves her into third all-time in program history. Following Lawrence was freshman Maeve Roach (1:01.35, 6th), senior Ashlee Johnson (1:01.83, 10th) and sophomore Madeline Colwell (1:04.25, 13th).

In the 200, sophomore Anna Beck finished in 11th place running the second fastest time in program history of 26.00 flat. Junior Caroline Jenkins finished in 16th place (27.32).

Rounding out the meet for Coast Guard, the 4x400 of Roach, Beck, Jenkins and Lawrence ran the fifth fastest time in program history, crossing the line in 4:05.77.

The Bears are back in action on Saturday, April 28th at the NEWMAC Championship hosted by MIT.
